Plaza Ramales

This square is located in the proximity of the Royal Palace in Madrid is known for its mysterious underground. In 1660 the famous painter Diego Velázquez and her wife were buried into the underground crypt of San Juan Bautista church. After the French conquered Madrid, the new king, Joseph Bonaparte started a vast and ambitious program to modernize and re-shape the Spain’s capital, building many open squares. The church was demolished and Plaza Ramales appeared. Unfortunately, the tracking of the tomb and the bones of the famous painter was lost during this process, but is believed that the bones are still under this square. Some modern times digging couldn’t solve the mystery as there were found some bones, but the experts couldn’t prove their provenience. It’s one of the mysterious and beautiful places in Madrid.

Esta plaza, que se encuentra en la proximidad del Palacio Real de Madrid, es conocida por su misterioso subterráneo. En 1660 el famoso pintor Diego Velázquez y su esposa fueron enterrados en la cripta subterránea de la iglesia de San Juan Bautista. Después de que los franceses conquistaron Madrid, el nuevo rey, José Bonaparte inició un programa amplio y ambicioso para modernizar la capital española, y empezó la construcción de muchas plazas y plazuelas. La iglesia fue demolida y Plaza Ramales apareció. Por desgracia, el seguimiento de la tumba y de los huesos del famoso pintor se perdió durante este proceso, pero se cree que los huesos aún están en esta plaza. Algunos excavaciónes modernos no pudieron resolver el misterio a pesar de que algunos huesos fueron encontrados allí; los expertos no pudieron demostrar su procedencia. Es uno de los lugares misteriosos y hermosos de Madrid.

The peplum dress

I’m not a big fan of dresses as I think the deux-pieces outfits look better on me, but sometimes I try on them. Here is a peplum dress from Bershka, high heels sandals from JustFab and fuchsia bag from Pimkie. Enjoy!
