Visiting Llanes

Llanes is a coastal fishing village in Asturias (North of Spain) famous for its yachts and boats, beautiful landscape, excellent food and active nightlife (in summer). It’s a lovely place to walk around, very touristic, but it still keeps its traditional streets and buildings. Not to miss if you’re traveling to Asturias!

Llanes es un puerto de pesca en la costa asturiana, famoso por sus barcos, maravillosas vistas, exquisita comida y su vida nocturna (en verano). Es un sitio muy bonito para andar y admirar, muy turístico pero que sigue conservando en buenas condiciones sus callejones tradicionales y los edificios del casco antiguo. ¡Algo que uno no se puede perder si viaja a Asturias!

Palacio de la Aljafería – Zaragoza

The Aljafería Palace in Zaragoza (Spain) is a Unesco World Heritage fortress built by Al-Muqtadir, the taifa de Saraqusta‘s king, during its most prosperous period of time (XI-th century) – both socially and economically. After the conquer of Zaragoza by the christian king Alfonso I of Aragón, the palace become the residence of the Aragón’s kings until 1492 when, after some changes, it becomes the residence of Catholic Kings (Reyes Católicos). In 1593, the Palace of Aljafería is militarized and transformed into a fortress. Now it hosts the regional parliament (Cortes) of Aragón and is a must-visit if you’re traveling to Zaragoza. El palacio de la Aljafería en Zaragoza es una fortaleza, parte del patrimonio mundial de la Unesco, construida por Al-Muqtadir, rey de la Taifa de Saraqusta, durante su período más próspero de tiempo (siglo XI) – tanto social como económicamente. Después de la conquista de Zaragoza por el rey cristiano Alfonso I de Aragón, el palacio se convierta en la residencia de los reyes de Aragón hasta el año 1492 cuando, después de algunos cambios, se convierte en la residencia de los Reyes Católicos. En 1593, el Palacio de la Aljafería se militarizó y se transformó en una fortaleza. Ahora es la sede de los Cortes de Aragón y es una visita obligada si vas a viajar a Zaragoza. ¡Disfrutad del hermoso palacio!

Lagos de Covadonga

The Lakes of Covadonga, part of the Picos de Europa Natural Park in Asturias (North of Spain), are formed by a melting ancient glacier and the altitude of the two lakes (Enol and Ercina) is just little more than 1000m. I visited the lakes in July 2015 and because of the rocky, sometimes difficult paths, I was the only one not wearing flat or sport shoes haha. But hey, my photos are better hehe! Enjoy the beauty of the landscape!

Los Lagos de Covadonga, que forman parte del Parque Natural Picos de Europa en Asturias, están formados por el derrito de un glaciar antiguo y la altitud de los dos lagos (Enol y Ercina) es un poquito más de 1000m. Visité los lagos en julio de 2015 y debido a los caminos rocosos, a veces difíciles, yo era la única visitante que no llevaba zapatos planos o deportivos jaja. Pero bueno, ¡mis fotos son mejores jeje! ¡Disfrutad de la belleza del paisaje!

Ávila by tourist bus

Ávila, city in Castilla y León region in Spain, declared World Heritage by UNESCO (1985), is famous for the best conserved medieval town walls in the world. But also the cuisine, the old town buildings, and the hospitality of its inhabitants. A must visit!
