Located between two brunches of the same river, Guadalquivir, Triana is now a special neighborhood of Seville. Once you get inside, and see its colorful streets, its bohemian life, its residents enjoying a beer or a coffee at a terrace, no stress, no rush, while a local band is doing its street show, a new world is opening in front your eyes… Triana is flamenco and bullfighting, is tiling, is tradition, and you cannot visit Seville without spending at least a Sunday morning in Triana.

Situado entre dos ramales del mismo río, Guadalquivir, Triana es ahora un barrio especial de Sevilla. Una vez que estás dentro, y ves sus coloridas calles, su vida bohemia, sus residentes gozando de una caña o un café en una terraza, sin estrés, sin prisas, mientras que una banda local está haciendo su actuación callejera, un nuevo mundo se abre delante tus ojos… Triana es flamenco y toreo, es azulejos, es tradición, y no se puede visitar Sevilla sin pasar al menos un domingo por la mañana en Triana.
The Royal Palace in Seville, or ¨El Alcázar Real¨ is an open-for-tourists castle when the king of Spain is not there. The interior is nice, but the real jewelry is the garden. Enjoy the photos and don’t forget to visit it if you’re visiting Seville.

El Palacio Real de Sevilla, o el Alcázar Real es un castillo abierto para visitas turísticas cuando el rey de España no está allí. El interior es muy bonito, pero la verdadera maravilla es el jardín. Disfruta de las fotos y no te olvides de visitarlo si estás pasando por Sevilla.
The capital of the Spanish flamenco is, no doubt, Seville (with its more traditional Triana neighborhood) and I couldn’t visit this beautiful colorful city without spending an evening to a flamenco show. We went to “Casa de la Guitarra”, a place that despite being quite touristic, and looking more like a museum, offers a high quality flamenco. The experience is amplified by the fact that the hall has only few chairs, and I think we were less than 10 viewers at the hour of the show. Front row is almost certain.
The photos are not very good resolution as the use of flash inside was not permitted, and recording the show is also prohibited. Anyway, I managed to capture some non-flash photos before the show began and I think they tell a little about the beauty of the place. The last three photos are from another place, a typical Andalusian bar, and were taken after the flamenco show. Enjoy!

La capital del flamenco español es, sin duda, Sevilla (contando con Triana, su barrio más tradicional) y no pude visitar esta hermosa ciudad llena de colores, sin disfrutar un espectáculo de flamenco. Fuimos a la “Casa de la Guitarra“, un lugar que a pesar de ser muy turístico, y más parecido a un museo, ofrece un flamenco de alta calidad. La experiencia se amplifica por el hecho de que la sala tiene sólo algunas sillas, y creo que estábamos a menos de 10 espectadores en la hora del show. Primera fila es casi asegurada.
Las fotos no tienen muy buena resolución, como en el interior no es permitido el uso de flash y la grabación del espectáculo también está prohibida. De todos modos, pude capturar algunas fotos sin flash antes de que comenzara el espectáculo y creo que hablan un poco sobre la belleza del lugar. Las tres últimas fotos son de otro sitio, un bar típico andaluz, y les he sacado después del flamenco. ¡Disfrutad!
