León by night

Barrio Húmedo is the main nightlife area in León, the narrow streets around Plaza Mayor. I am not a big fan of night photos as my camera’s capabilities dramatically drop with the lack of light, but León’s beauty by night made me shoot some photos around. Enjoy!

I already posted exterior photos of the León’s Cathedral so now let’s see the interior. I’m not a believer, but I can’t be indifferent to the majesty of some important cathedrals and the genius of the human architects and builders from the Medieval Age that made such wonders. The Cathedral of León is famous for its stained windows. Enjoy!

Visiting Seville 1

As you probably already know, January this year I visited Seville, the beautiful flamenco city in the South of Spain. I took more than 1,000 photos, so I’m gonna start posting as there are many interesting things to show. The first day was a rainy/windy one, but the rests were pretty good in terms of weather conditions. Enjoy!

Como probablemente ya sabes, este enero visité Sevilla, la hermosa ciudad del flamenco en el sur de España. Saqué más de 1000 fotos, así que iniciaré publicarlos, ya que hay muchas cosas interesantes que mostrar. El primer día fue con mucha lluvia y viento, pero los restos estaban bastante bien en clima. ¡Disfrute!

Granada: day 1

In August I was for some days to the South of Spain, in Andalusia region to Granada, a very old and famous city. And now, after visiting it, I can add ‘beautiful’. The travel from home (Madrid) to Granada was a delightful experience using the premium class of Alsa buses, the hotel was superb (I’ll dedicate a full post to it, it’s like a museum) and Granada was amazing! I let you now with the first day photos from around the Cathedral and the souk (yes, the Arabian street-markets, as Granada was for seven centuries under the Moors and Arabs domination). Enjoy!

En agosto he visitado por unos días Granada (Andalucía), una ciudad muy antigua y famosa. Y ahora, después de verla, puedo añadir “bella”. El viaje desde mi casa (Madrid) a Granada fue una experiencia maravillosa con la clase premium de autobuses Alsa, el hotel excelente (le dedicaré un post completo, parece un museo) y Granada increíble! Os dejo ahora con las primeras fotos de un día desde el centro, alrededor de la Catedral, y del zoco (si, los mercado callejeros árabes, como Granada fue durante siete siglos bajo la dominación de los moros y de los árabes ). ¡Disfrutad!

The beauty of Ávila

Few weekends ago we went to what is considered the most religious city of Spain – Ávila. I’m not a religious believer but I’m an admirer of the ancient medieval structures and Ávila is one of the best places to enjoy the architectural beauties (the city was declared World Heritage site by UNESCO) . So, after booking the best hotel (in my opinion) nearby the Cathedral, we bought the train tickets and… here is the first set of photos, more interesting to come. The weather was horrible, clouds and rain, but it gave also a romantic aura to our trip. Enjoy!

Hace un par de semanas, en un finde, fuimos a lo que se considera la ciudad más religiosa de España – Ávila. Yo no soy un creyente religioso pero soy un admirador de las antiguas estructuras medievales y Ávila es uno de los mejores lugares para disfrutar de esa belleza arquitectónica (la ciudad fue declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO). Así que, después de reservar el mejor hotel de la ciudad (en mi opinión) cerca de la catedral, compramos los billetes de tren y … aquí es la primera serie de fotos y eso no es todo: hay más interesantes por un otro día. El tiempo era horrible, las nubes y la lluvia, pero también dio un aura romántica a nuestro viaje. ¡Disfrute!
