Hotel Silken Puerta America

As I already revealed, I spent the new year´s eve in Madrid at a luxury hotel – Silken Puerta America. Now I can come with more details about this amazing hotel. It has 11 floors  for the rooms, the 12th floor being reserved for senior-presidential suites, and a top 13th floor panoramic view bar. Each floor has been designed by a different architect/designer and the rooms are outstanding. Another very good thing is that once arrived at the front desk, they provide you a tablet with information for each floor so you can pick up the desired room. We stayed at the 7th floor, designed by Ron Arad and we were very pleased! But each floor has its own magic. Staying in this hotel is not only about a pleasant stay, it´s also about an exquisite experience.

This post is about the halls of each floor (as we took the elevator to see them all), but I´ll show you also our room in the future. Sorry about the quality of some of the photos. For some of them I used the flash, for others no, in order to keep as much as possible the original light.

Como ya lo he contado, pasé la noche vieja en Madrid, en un hotel de lujo – Silken Puerta America. Ahora puedo venir con más detalles acerca de este increíble hotel. Cuenta con 11 plantas de habitaciones, una planta 12 reservada para las suites/piso presidencial, y una planta superior con un bar con vista panorámica. Cada planta ha sido diseñada por un arquitecto/diseñador diferente y las habitaciones son excepcionales. Otra cosa muy buena es que una vez llegado a la recepción, te proporcionan una tableta con la información de cada planta, así que puedes recoger la habitación deseada. Nos alojamos en la 7ª planta, diseñada por Ron Arad, ¡y nos quedamos muy contentas! Sin embargo, cada piso tiene su propia magia. Alojarse en este hotel no es sólo acerca de una estancia agradable, se trata también de una experiencia exquisita.
Este post es sobre los pasillos de cada planta (ya que tomamos el ascensor para verlos todos), pero os muestraré también nuestra habitación en el futuro. Pido perdón por la calidad de algunas de las fotos. Para algunas he usado el flash, para otras no, a fin de mantener lo más posible la luz original.

2014 is here!

Happy new year!!! How were your holidays, your parties ? Let’s make 2014 a wonderful year, better than 2013 (which was also good)! I started it at a 5-stars hotel in Madrid and then traveling to the capital of flamenco, Seville: 1,100 photos. Should I say more ? 🙂

 ¡Feliz año nuevo! ¿Que tal las vacaciones, las fiestas? ¡Hagamos de 2014 un año maravilloso, mejor que 2013 (que también fue bueno)! Yo lo empecé en un hotel de 5 estrellas en Madrid y luego viajando por la capital del flamenco, Sevilla: 1100 fotos. ¿Tengo que decir más? 🙂

Hostal Lima Granada

I return to Granada and today I’ll present you Hostal Lima, our travel host. I know the images speak from themselves, the hostel looks like a museum, what you cannot see is how kind and helpful the staff was and how clean the place is. So, if you plan your visit to Granada, and you want to stay right in the touristic center, near the Cathedral, I fully recommend you Hostal Lima. There will be even more photos from the room and other parts of the hostel in the next posts about our trip to Granada, so stay tuned!

Vuelvo a Granada y hoy voy a presentaros el Hostal Lima, nuestro alojamiento en la vieja ciudad de Andalucía. Sé que las imágenes hablan de ellas mismas, el hostal parece un museo, lo que no puedes ver es el personal amable y servicial, y la limpieza del lugar. Por lo tanto, si planeas tu visita a Granada, y quieres estar en el centro turístico, cerca de la Catedral, te recomiendo totalmente el Hostal Lima. The patio

I just adore sitting comfortable on a sofa, a glass of fine drink in hand, into a patio. It’s my chill out method and I enjoyed this treatment at a wonderful hotel in Ávila. And it was also a rainy day… perfect to just sit and sip your drink peacefully. Best way to relax and get the maximum of a wet weather!

Adoro sentar cómodo en un sofá, una buena copa en la mano, en un patio. Es mi relajación y disfruté de este tratamiento en un maravilloso hotel en Ávila. Y también fue un día lluvioso… perfecto para sentarse y disfrutar de su bebida tranquilamente. La mejor manera de relajarse y conseguir el máximo de un clima mojada!
