Pride of Maspalomas 2014

It’s January and I’m already thinking to this year’s Pride of Maspalomas to come. There’s not much time left until May, so you better book your hotel and buy your flight ticket if you want to be present at the best European LGBT pride. The island of Gran Canaria and the sunny Maspalomas start the preparations. I already have my airplane ticket and my hotel is booked so… Maspalomas here I come! Es enero y ya estoy pensando en el Pride de Maspalomas de este año. No hay mucho tiempo hasta mayo, así que es mejor reservar tu hotel y comprar tu billete de avión si quieres estar presente en el mejor orgullo LGBT de Europa. La isla de Gran Canaria y la soleada Maspalomas ya calentan sus motores. Yo tengo mi billete de avión y mi hotel está reservado así que… ¡Maspalomas estoy casi  allí! Orgullo Gay Madrid 2013 – The Parade

Madrid, July 6th, 2013 – the Pride of Madrid parade started at Atocha, passed on Paseo del Prado, then Cibeles and ended up at Puerta de Alcalá. More than 1.2 million people on the streets ignoring the hot temperature (38 degrees C) to support the LGBT rights, to put pressure on the authorities to respect the LGBT rights, to give a clear answer to homophobia. This year’s slogan of the Pride was ¡Jóvenes sin armarios! – young go out of the closet! I made lots of photos but here is the selection. Enjoy and remember to always say NO! to homophobia!

Madrid, 6 de julio de 2013 – el desfila del Orgullo de Madrid comenzó en Atocha, pasó por el Paseo del Prado, a continuación Cibeles y terminó en la Puerta de Alcalá. Más de 1,2 millones de personas en las calles ignorando la temperatura (38 º C) para apoyar los derechos LGBT, para presionar a las autoridades a respetar los derechos de LGBT, de dar una respuesta clara a la homofobia. Lema del Orgullo de este año fue ¡Jóvenes sin armarios! – Jóvenes salen del armario! Hice un montón de fotos, pero aquí está la selección. Disfrute y recuerde siempre decir NO! a la homofobia!

The Pool Party (2013)

Organised by BurLesKAS and UXXS Magazine for the Pride of Maspalomas week, the Pool Party les&gay was hosted by AxelBeach Hotel. On a delightful sunny day, the party at the pool was animated by various well-known djs and we also enjoyed a fantastic show provided by Drag Circus. The friendly atmosphere, the great drinks and the entertainment assured a perfect afternoon for us. Thanks to all the people that made this possible!

Organizado por BurLesKAS y UXXS Magazine para la semana del Pride de Maspalomas, la fiesta en la piscina les&gay tuvo como huésped el hotel AxelBeach Maspalomas. En un día soleado y agradable, la fiesta en la piscina fue animada por varios djs de renombre y también disfrutamos de un fantástico espectáculo proporcionado por Drag Circus. El ambiente agradable, las buenas bebidas y el entretenimiento aseguran una tarde perfecta para nosotr@s. ¡Gracias a todas las personas que hicieron esto posible!

Pride of Madrid – the parade (daylight)

As I already said, the passed weekend was amazing! Sunday, the soccer team of Spain won the Eurocopa, and Saturday was the LGBT parade, the main event of the week of Pride. I took more than 350 photos, impossible to put all here, so I made a selection. The first part is from the daylight parade, but there will be also some night shots in the next posts. The weather was great, not very hot, the party was fantastic and the Pride participation was estimated at 700,000 people by the police, and 1,2 million by the organizers. Enjoy!

Como ya he dicho, el fin de semana pasado fue increíble! El domingo, el equipo de fútbol de España ganó la Eurocopa, y el sábado fue el desfile LGTB, el evento principal de la semana del Orgullo. Saqué más de 350 fotos, imposible de poner todo aquí, así que hice una selección. La primera parte es del desfile con la luz del día, pero habrá también algunas fotos de la noche en los próximos posts. El tiempo fue estupendo, no muy caliente, la fiesta fantástica y la participación del Orgullo se estimó a 700.000 personas por la policía, y 1,2 millones por los organizadores. Disfrute!
